Jeff Rubin was not only kind enough to let me crash his wonderful podcast The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show for an ALL NEW bonus episode about one of my favorite shows, Breaking Bad, he also joined me and Entertainment Weekly’s Darren Franich for the in-depth discussion of the drama’s outstanding fourth season. Join us for a talk about all things Breaking Bad: the game-changing last 10 minutes of “Crawl Space,” what we can possibly expect from this Sunday’s finale, and how Gus Fring is Breaking Bad’s Ben Linus.
Guys, your views about Breaking Bad and LOST overlap with mine EXACTLY. The night after Crawl Space aired, I had a conversation with my friends in which I said “Breaking Bad is an objectively better show than LOST, but LOST will always have a special place in my heart,” and then I listen to this podcast and hear you guys have that exchange verbatim.
This was the best JRJR podcast. More like this, please.
As awesome as this video is (it strengthens my belief that being an actor is probably the most fun job a person can have), I’m posting it because of how much I love the joke about Ryan’s Internet startup, Wuphf. It was first mentioned last season and it appears again when Ryan interrupts the LipDub video with a plug for the site.
The site premise itself is funny enough, but for some reason I just find myself overly fond of yuppie, wanna-be-big-shot-businesspeople characters with unrealistic goals. I think Ryan is the funniest character on The Office (and BJ Novak does a great job of playing him; something tells me he writes all Ryan’s lines) just like I felt that Ricky was the funniest character on the short lived CollegeHumor Show.
The Wupfh site is worth a click. I particularly enjoyed how the intro video has built in buffering to make it look even more unprofessional, as if potential users wouldn’t already be turned off by Ryan screaming “WUPFH!!” every 20 seconds.
